Thoughts From my Pets Point of View

Sammy here again for an update on my pups! They were born yesterday, all five of the cute little babies! Mom came out to feed me and saw them. She yelled at dad to hurry and come out. It was rainy and cold so they brought me and my babies in the house and put us on an old blanket to keep warm. They look like their daddy Jake. Mom and dad are keeping me and my babies away from the other inside dogs because they don’t know what they will do to them. Mom is also afraid I will attack the other dogs, I will too, grrr.

I have only left them long enough to pee, eat and drink. Then I go right back in to them. I love my babies but sadly when they ar eold enough they will be going to new homes. Mom and dad have enough of us and can’t take on anymore.

Well back to my pups I go. I can’t seem to stay away from the cute little babes.

Cloe here! I just wanted to let everyone know how great I am doing with only three legs. I don’t even miss my missing leg. I can still run and play and I am still a feisty little puppy. Mom and dad are so happy that I am so upbeat and happy with only three legs.

Mom still won’t let me run around outside. She won’t even let Jake run outside. She is afraid we will take off and get hurt like I did last time. When I do get loose on accident, mom walks up and down the road yelling for me. She worries a lot now ever since I had my accident. I will be fine but I don’t blame them for not wanting me to run loose. Being stuck in that trap was the worst week of my life. Thank goodness I got out or I would have died.

Mom is trying to save up the money to get our yard fenced in so we can play outside this Spring and Summer. Dad already called and got a price on fencing and it is only going to cost $150 to fence in the yard enough to where all six of us can play and run around. Mom says if she writes enough articles and if she keeps submitting to magazines and gets accepted, she will have the money. Magazines pay more than what she is doing now. I sure hope they can get it done soon because it is beautiful outside and I want to enjoy it.

Well, I am ready for a nap now. I think I will curl up next to dad and sleep with him for a little bit. Since the cats have never had a chance to post, I guess it will be their turn soon. I hate the cats, grrr.

Wow, mom and dad are surprised with me because I am the only dog here at home who loves all kinds of veggies. I love beets, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, potatoes, beans, cabbage, and lots of others too. I don’t eat onions though because mom and dad found out that onions can be toxic to dogs. Besides, I don’t want onion breath, grrr!

Mom found out I liked veggies last year when she and dad had the two rabbits. Mom was feeding them carrots and lettuce and mom dropped a carrots on the floor. She went to grab it and I grabbed it before she got to, hehe. She started laughing when she saw me play with it for a few minutes and then I ate it. She also dropped some lettuce and I ate that right up without playing with it. I like to play with my carrots before I eat them but the lettuce is too good to play with first.

Today, dad was cleaning the fridge and decided to give us some beets that were in there. He didn’t think me and Cloe would eat them but we did. I love beets. Today was the first time I tried them and they were yummy. Mom doesn’t like beets but they are good. Cloe likes them too. Cloe will only eat some veggies but I love them all.

Maybe tomorrow dad will feed me some of those yummy beans he has cooking on top of the stove. Mom doesn’t like beans either but I do! I bet Cloe would like them too! Well I am going to go take a nap now and Cloe will be posting tomorrow. She needs to update everyone how she is doing with her three legs. Give you a hint, she is doing great. Same old Cloe! Nothing will keep her down for long, bark, bark!
